Ms. Ulanda Lewis is a Student from the beautiful Village of Vermont in the Buccament Valley. She attended the Central Leeward Secondary School in Peter’s Hope, St. Vincent and the Grenadines from which she obtained the Basil Charles Educational Foundation scholarship from the period 2018-2021. She is also the country’s top female sprinter and the 2019 Carifta games double bronze medalist. Ms. Lewis will be continuing her studies and the love of the sport at the Alabama Track and Field Cross Country University. Congratulation and Best wishes to Ms. Ulanda Lewis as she pursue in her future endeavors.

Marika Baptiste received her prize for placing 1st in the US embassy annual Black History Month Speech Competition. Ms. Baptiste is the first Female from her community of Fancy located on the northern side of St Vincent And the  Grenadines, the Village in Proximity to the La Soufriere Volcano   to attend the St Vincent Girl’s High School from which she obtain The Basil Charles Educational Foundation Scholarship from the period 2018-2021.During Ms. Baptiste final year at the St Vincent Girl’s High School she continued creating history where she captured the first place in both the Lion’s Club South Public speaking competition and the US Embassy Forth annual Black History Month Secondary School Speech competition. She also featured junior Speaker in the OECS Education Forum where was interviewed on her Journey and hosted a program Questions and  Answers with the Prime Minister of St Vincent and the Grenadines, Dr. Ralph E. Gonsalves. MS. Baptiste is currently pursing her tertiary education at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College.
