Basil is an entrepreneur from the island of St. Vincent that grew to celebrity status by being the proprietor of one of the most famous bars in the world, Basil’s Bar Mustique. The original Basil’s Bar to this day is still a staple on the island of Mustique. He quickly expanded his business repertoire. Basil now has the Mustique great general store that specializes in fine wines, spirits, and cigars. The store is located in the heart of Mustique and is a go-to for anyone planning a dinner party and needs fine liquor to pair with any meal. He also is the owner of the Basil’s Bar Kingstown, which is located on Bay Street in St. Vincent. Throughout these many years, Basil’s Bar Kingstown has found out that the way through the economic labyrinth is to maintain a very high standard in cuisine, cocktails, and excellent service. Preset day, it attracts the attention of patrons local, regional and international who keeps returning time and time again because we have provided for them a haven in the midst of busy Kingstown. Basil also owns the Buttercup house in Mustique, a beautiful 3 bedroom villa tucked away in tropic garden minutes from the airport. The house offers a secluded hideaway with beautiful scenery and a relaxing pool for when you need to cool down. Basil also believes very strongly in philanthropy and started the Basil Charles Educational Foundation to give back to underprivileged children in his home of St. Vincent. The foundation currently has 46 full-time students that attend high school in St. Vincent.
